We Live Off Grid in the UK: Here’s How (2025)
We bought a 4.5 acre field, turned it into a woodland and moved here to start our off-grid dream. In the early days, we had no water or electricity and had to adapt a much simpler life.
Since then, we’ve created an off-grid life from scratch, including:
✅ A solar power system
✅ A rainwater catchment and filtration setup
✅ A polytunnel for growing food
✅ Chickens for eggs and meat
This is the first time we’ve shared the full story, From how our mobile home sank in the mud on day 1, to how we build the infrasrtucture that gives us water and power.
Building this off grid life has been a long process, but it has given us a freedom we never could have imagined.
