Today’s video starts off at the Dog Lodge checking in on all the dogs and making sure everyone is doing good. We also take a minute to share today’s sponsor, Upside, an app that can help you earn cash back on everyday purchases.
From there, we head out to the creek property to get some work done. While taking a lunch break, I get a phone call from Brandi that completely changes the day. She tells me that Buddy, our massive nearly 1,000-pound boar, has died.
I immediately head back home to see what happened. Unfortunately, Buddy was gone, and we believe the extreme heat may have played a part. I then had the difficult job of moving him and figuring out what to do next.
The following day, we make another round checking on all of the animals because of the heat—and discover one of our chickens in serious trouble from what appears to be overheating.
It’s been a rough couple of days on the homestead, and this Oklahoma heat is no joke. Thanks for watching, supporting our family, and following along through the good days and the hard ones.
