Living off-grid in winter means learning to work with the season, not against it.
This week, a deep freeze and polar vortex settled in, bringing extreme cold, heavy snow, and the kind of weather that slows everything down — whether you want it to or not.
Even in the middle of winter, life continues. There’s still snow to clear, systems to protect, and projects to finish. In this video, I work through installing my kitchen sink, tackle winter chores, and spend some time outside in the deep snow as the cold tightens its grip on the woods.
