18 months ago I was 220+ lbs, high body fat, ashamed to take my shirt off in public. Today I’m sitting at 165 lbs, and the reaction online has shifted from indifference to accusations — “you have an eating disorder,” “you’re not healthy,” “you’re anorexic.”
In this video I talk about what actually changed: calorie deficit, walking 5-6 miles a day, tracking everything I eat, and 18 months of discipline — not medication, not extremes. I also get into why our sense of what a “normal” body looks like is skewed when a majority of the country is overweight, and why I think physical health is going to matter more than ever in the years ahead.
This isn’t about telling anyone else what to do with their body. It’s about my own experience, and why I don’t think what I’ve done is unhealthy.
