As every year, it is always a special moment to fully charge the Battery Shelf for the very first time after winter. A few days ago, I’ve already seen the battery on 55.1V, but I didn’t have time to film the event, so I turned on some larger loads to prevent the premature first full charge without camera😃
Today, we have a mix of sun and clouds which makes it really difficult to get some decent amps into the batteries. But on the other hand, it also shows us how the batteries charge and balance with each other, how the single cells perform and the BMS handle all that.
I have built a dashboard in Home Assistant showing all three BMS. We compare the results and see how the banks behave and balance. It is always quite amazing to see, how well these batteries are still balanced after 4-5 months of not being full charge and correctly top-balanced.
