This week at The Irish Homestead, our barn is taking another big step forward as Sam gets to work building one of the new timber doors from scratch. We’ve been looking forward to seeing the doors go in for such a long time although once the paint comes out, we discover there’s one thing we definitely don’t agree on… the colour! 😬 Let us know which side you’re on!
Meanwhile, I’m tackling a door of my own inside the cottage. Our dark wooden front door has always made the entrance feel rather gloomy, so I finally give it a much brighter makeover — and I can’t believe what a difference a little paint makes.
And we finally have some very exciting sunroom news! After 12 weeks of waiting, our windows are due to be installed tomorrow. It feels like we’ve been waiting forever for this stage, so hopefully, by next week, our long-awaited sunroom will be looking very different.
